  • We study how crop plants resist insect herbivores and how these resistance mechanisms can be applied to sustainable pest management.

Our research integrates molecular, physiological, ecological, and evolutionary approaches to understand host-plant resistance, including antixenosis and antibiosis. Using major agricultural pest systems such as the brown planthopper in rice and the fall armyworm in maize, we aim to bridge fundamental plant defense biology with practical applications in agriculture.
