Department of Agronomy, National Taiwan University
Faculty Positions Starting February 1, 2027
The Department of Agronomy at National Taiwan University is seeking applications for two full-time faculty positions in Plant Breeding and Genetics, starting on February 1, 2027, at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher (open rank). Applicants with expertise in practical breeding experience, crop selection theory, or emerging breeding methods are preferred.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree.
Application Materials:
Applicants should submit the following materials in both electronic format (PDF files saved on a USB flash drive) and five hard copies without binding:
- Cover letter specifying the academic rank.
- Curriculum vitae (CV).
- List of publications, with one selected as the representative work. This work must be an original research article published in an SCIE-indexed journal after February 1, 2022, with the applicant as the first or corresponding author. If the work is co-authored, a “Verification of Co-author’s Contribution to the Applicant’s Representative Publication” is required

For Assistant Professor applicants, the doctoral dissertation may serve as the representative work.
- Transcripts from undergraduate and graduate programs (for applicants applying for the rank of Assistant Professor). Please provide supporting documents from the university or your advisor if no coursework is required.
- Photocopy of Ph.D. diploma.
- Proposed courses, including course titles and outlines/syllabi.
- Research proposal outlining future research plans.
- Reprints of publications published within the past seven years (after February 1, 2020).
Letters of Recommendation:
Two letters of recommendation should be sent directly to Dr. Wen-Dar Huang, Chair of the Department of Agronomy, either by post or email by June 30, 2026.
Submission Deadline:
The complete application package (USB flash drive and hard copies), including recommendation letters, must be received by June 30, 2026 (based on the postmark date).
