Department of Agronomy, National Taiwan University
Faculty Position Starting August 1, 2025
The Department of Agronomy at National Taiwan University is seeking applications for full-time faculty positions (rank: Assistant Professor or higher), starting on August 1, 2025. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in the following fields:
1. Crop Physiology and Cultivation (1 position): Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Precision Cropping, Resilient Agriculture, or Seed Science.
2. Genetics and Breeding (2 positions): Priority will be given to candidates with practical breeding experience, crop selection theory, or emerging breeding methods.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Candidates with educational and research experience in crop sciences, and the ability to teach fundamental crop science courses, will be given preference.
Application Materials:
Applicants are required to submit the following materials in both electronic (PDF format saved on a USB flash drive) and five hard copies (please do not bind the hard copies):
1. Cover Letter specifying the academic rank and area of expertise being applied for.
2. Curriculum Vitae
3. List of Publications, with one selected as the representative work. This work must be an original research article published in an SCIE-indexed journal after August 1, 2020, with the applicant as the first or corresponding author. If the work is co-authored, a "Verification of Co-author’s Contribution to the Applicant’s Representative Publication" is required (http://www.personnel.ntu.edu.tw/News_Content_n_165_s_5117.html). For Assistant Professor applicants, the doctoral dissertation may serve as the representative work.
4. Transcripts from undergraduate and graduate programs (for applicants applying for the rank of Assistant Professor). If your institution did not require coursework, please provide supporting documents from the university or your advisor.
5. Photocopy of Ph.D. Diploma.
6. Proposed Courses including course titles and outlines/syllabi.
7. Research Proposal outlining future research plans.
8. Reprints of Publications published within the past seven years (after August 1, 2018).
Recommendation Letters:
Two recommendation letters should be sent directly to Dr. Wen-Dar Huang, Chair of the Department of Agronomy, either by post or email.
